Important Message from our Heart:
HBP Drugs Linked To Sudden Heart Attack...

(We received this article via an e-mail. Something mentioned here are somewhat similar to what are said of Chinese Medical Theory.)

Does this sound familiar to you?...

So if high blood pressure doesn't cause heart disease, but harmful drugs can actually increase your risk of having a heart attack and deteriorate your health - Why not help your body maintain normal blood pressure naturally, without doing harm?

Please Read... This message is important enough to a person's life.

About 60% of all the people who have heart attacks have NORMAL blood pressure and the vast majority of these people are taking high blood pressure drugs.

In a recent study in Europe, patients with high blood pressure who did NOTHING at all lived longer and had less complications than people who were on HBP medications.

It's only a matter of time before you hear the medical institutions admit they were totally mistaken about heart disease and the dangers of high blood pressure medications.

There is A LOT of money and even more ego and pride at stake with the present medical model, so don't expect a public apology too soon . . . but it will come.

If you've tried the traditional approach, you've just participated in a massive experiment that failed. Don't feel too bad, you're not alone . . . millions of people have walked down the same path only to find themselves slaves of the drugs that hold them prisoner.

The government keeps lowering the standards and corralling more people into the "high-risk category" for heart disease. In spite of the fact that more high blood pressure drugs are prescribed than ever before, still sudden death is all around us. If fact, heart disease is the #1 cause of death!

Updating high blood pressure guidelines has only ONE goal . . . to sell billions of dollars worth of HBP drugs. Despite the bottom line being that HBP drugs are doing more harm than good.

How many more people do you think will be led down the same dead-end path before they announce that high blood pressure medications are NOT a cure for heart disease and actually increase the risk of sudden heart attack?

It's true your risk of a heart attack may be greater if you have high blood pressure levels, but the cause of heart attack as well as high blood pressure is normally inflammation, NOT a drug deficiency.

Blood pressure elevation is not a disease, it's a symptom, so you first need to find out WHY your blood pressure is high, and when you fix that your HBP will normalize...

For example, if a man had pneumonia and everyone focused on lowering his high temperature by giving him medication to bring his fever down, he's going to eventually die from the untreated pneumonia... Similarly, if you only take drugs to lower high blood pressure, then you're only treating the symptom of a serious underlying problem.

So if high blood pressure doesn't cause heart disease, but harmful drugs can actually increase your risk of having a heart attack and deteriorate your health - Why not help your body maintain normal blood pressure naturally, without doing harm?

HBP drugs chemically interfere with your body's natural healing processes, and allow the root cause of heart disease to take hold and tighten its grip.

Often times you can chemically alter your blood pressure levels down to far, where it becomes "too low" and the doctor switches your prescription again. Next thing you know you're on blood thinners and being told you can't eat green vegetables like broccoli or spinach.

You may already know if you are taking medication many healthy foods are suddenly labeled "forbidden foods".

Ever wonder why?

Truth is these forbidden foods "naturally" do what the medication is claiming to do. If you eat healthy while taking some of these drugs you may amplify the effect of the medication.

You just have to ask yourself, "why not reduce the harmful drugs and simply eat more of what is naturally good for you instead?"

Live well,

Berkelah Falls
(Photographer: Jimmy Chew)

Worth reading... perhaps?

(We received this article via an e-mail. We forwarded this e-mail to a handful of people and received feedback saying that it is touching and of course worth reading.)

To All Married Couples and Singles Who Intend To Get Married…

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man!

That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; I had lost my heart to a lovely girl called Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, 30% shares of my company and the car. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly.

Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions :

She didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into our bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door every morning. I thought she was going crazy.

Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully. My wife and I hadn't had anybody contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy.

Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms! His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly, don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset.

I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest and I could smell the fragrance of her blouse.

I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying ! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning... This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the days slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all her dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me; she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart.

Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head. Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry Mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day. I am supposed to hold her until death does us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and
wrote:

"I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart"

The small details of our lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the house, the car, the property, the bank balance that matters. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness itself. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

Li Jiang Old City
(Photographer: Leong CH)

(We received this article via an e-mail.)

(We received this article via an e-mail.)

Let's try translating them:

The Title: Some Words by Wang Yong Qing (Worth Giving Thoughts to)

One match costs less than ten cents. A building may cost millions. A match can destroy a building. It can be seen that some little hidden potential destructive power can become tremendously huge once they explode.

It may take a month to set up a million pieces of dominoes but for these dominoes to completely fall, it may take only ten over seconds. It takes decades to build a business empire but it may only take a wrong decision or strategy for it to fall. Long time is required for a person to earn respect and trust but he could lose all these by doing only one wrong thing.

So, what is a stick of match?

It can be any of the following:-

1. Uncontrollable emotions.

2. A decision made without conscientious thought.

3. Stubborn character.

4. Narrow mindedness and a heart without sympathy.

Examine yourself and see how many matches you carry?

(We received this article via an e-mail sent by a fellow Kepong Qigong practitioner. We find that it is very meaningful and hereby post it.)

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.

There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.

'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.'

'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.

'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.

'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.

'I'll make you a deal.. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary 's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.

What saved his life this time? Penicillin.

The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. His son's name?

Sir Winston Churchill.

Jade Dragon Snowy Mountain, YunNan, China
(Photographer: Leong CH)

Ten Keys to Happiness

Bukit Talibur - Closer view of the Dam
(Photographer: Jimmy Chew)

(We received this article via an e-mail sent by a fellow Kepong qigong practitioner.)

What makes people truly happy? There are probably many answers, but here are some common themes. If you use these keys, you can let happiness fill your life!

1) Take Responsibility
Take full ownership of your actions, moods and feelings. If you can take responsibility for your life, you can change it. Blaming others for your circumstances only keeps you stuck.

2) Feel Your Feelings
Don't stuff your feelings until they become toxic or leak out. There are no wrong feelings. Acknowledge them, let yourself fully feel them when you are in private, and then you will be able to move on.

3) Practice Gratitude
Make a daily practice of asking yourself, "What am I grateful for?" Keep a gratitude journal and write down 10 things that are good in your life. Do this at bedtime and you will enjoy better sleep. Being grateful for what you have creates space for new energy to come into your life.

4) Live in the Now
Don't drag your past into your present. Don't try to live in the future. Be here now, this moment. When you fully engage in the present, there is no room for baggage from the past or fear of the future.

5) Control Your Gremlins
Gremlins are those nasty voices in your head that tear you down. You know, the ones that say, "You're not good enough" or "You'll never amount to anything". You wouldn't even say those things to your best friend. So find those gremlins and zap them. How? Ask yourself if you really want them to control you, and then change them into positive affirmations instead.

6) Practice Forgiveness
Forgive everyone even if it's just as a mental exercise. Otherwise those people and situations gain power over you and live in your head, rent free. And, of course, forgive yourself - you did the best you knew how at the time. Today is a new day. Letting go of anger and resentment will set you free.

7) Connect with Others
Let the negative, whining people in your life find someone else to complain with. You don't have time for it. Surround yourself with supportive and positive people. Don't know any people like that? Put a smile on your face and go find them!

8) Manage Your Energy
Learn to say no to tasks and people who drain your energy. Learning to say no can be difficult, but once you do it, you will experience a new level of personal power and well-being. Say yes to activities that give you energy. Make a list of these activities and plan to do a few of them daily.

9) Give Back
Feel good by volunteering to help, mentor or spend time with others who don't enjoy your level of abundance. Give out positive energy and it will come back to you many times.

10) Change!
Change is good. Be flexible. Life is always throwing new stuff at you. Go with the flow and shape your life the way you want it to be. Keep learning, adapting and embracing the new and wonderful things that will show up in your life!

Sunset at Bang Tao Beach, Phuket

EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER

Laguna Phuket
(Photographer: Jimmy Chew)

(We received this story via an e-mail sent by a fellow practitioners. We find it very meaningful and hereby post it.)

This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn't enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say 'Eat this rice, son! I'm not hungry.'
That was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten; My heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, 'Eat this fish, son! I don't really like fish.'
That was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, 'Mother, go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning.' Mother smiled and said 'Go to sleep, son! I'm not tired.'
That was Mother's Third Lie

When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her. Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother's love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration; I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said 'Drink, son! I'm not thirsty!?8364;
That was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighbors saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying 'I don't need love.'
That was Mother's Fifth Lie.

After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was steadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, 'I have enough money.'
That was Mother's Sixth Lie.

I continued my part-time studies for my Master's Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn't want to bother her son; she said to me 'I'm not used to high living.'
That was Mother's Seventh Lie

In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, 'Don't cry, son! I'm not in pain.'
That was Mother's Eighth Lie.

Telling me this .... her eighth lie .... she died.
YES, A MOTHER IS AN ANGEL !

M - O - T - H - E - R

'M' is for the Million things she gave me,

'O' means Only that she's growing old,

'T' is for the Tears she shed to save me,

'H' is for her Heart of gold,

'E' is for her Eyes with love-light shining in them,

'R' means Right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell 'MOTHER' a word that means the world to me.

For those of you who are lucky to be still blessed with your Mom's presence on Earth, this story is beautiful.

For those who aren't so blessed, this is even more beautiful.
